This Masculine traits post is about manhood and masculine traits in modern times.
The list below is typical masculine traits, but all of them are not necessary. The more features you master to have, the better.
Since the beginning of time, young men needed the discipline to be of service, for example, in the military. To function and get things done, you must have discipline. Discipline applies to both work and exercise. You have to keep going when it gets tricky. Discipline is the key ingredient to getting results.
Strength and exercise:
Strength is valued amongst men. Some men are stronger than others, depending on your physical body and size. It is possible to exercise to get more robust and healthier. The list of benefits that come with exercising is too long to write. Mainly you produce testosterone and get fitter. It’s good for both your health, self-esteem and your appearance.
Attraction and seduction:
The ability to get girls will tell how fast and often you can reproduce. The biological meaning of life is to make children. Every time you have sex, you potentially are making children; you are mating.
The point is to understand how flirting and dating works so you can one day establish yourself with a girlfriend. You could be lucky to find the one, but the odds of finding your dream girl increases when you know how to attract and seduce. Here being socially adept also comes into play.
Logic and reasoning:
The ability to think logically and rationally helps you understand the world. You will have a sharp mind.
Being good in math or understanding cognitive bias, for example, helps you think more clearly. To be logical, you have to exercise this side of the mind. Suduko, math, playing chess, and puzzle games are suitable for practising this. Being able to plan tactically and strategic is included here as well.
Taking responsibility can be from cleaning your house to taking charge of the office. It could also mean stepping up as a dad if you get children. Commitment is valuable because you follow up on the task needed. If you take responsibility in all areas, your life tends to work better. For example, taking responsibility for your health, economy, work and your kid.
Business, work, and being a salesman:
It is a masculine trait to do business and make money. Being a salesman is also a male trait.
Here you can sell sand to people living in the Sahara desert. You are a good salesperson if you are a smooth talker. You master rhetoric and sales. Being an Entrepreneur is a positive masculine trait to support yourself financially.
To know yourself by, for example, meditating. Also, to contribute to society by helping humanity to grow or have better life quality and, for example, finding your purpose to serve others. A higher purpose can do this by helping humanity have better life quality. For instance, Elon musk has ambitions that go higher than just personal goals. Dedicating yourself to work by doing the best job is also acceptable.
You get emotional maturity by working on yourself. Be brave enough to dive within yourself to identify blind spots. Working on yourself implies many good things. Both identify blind spots and limiting beliefs but also release difficult emotions. There are many releasing modalities, but the most popular one is talk therapy. Men must learn to open up and express their feelings to other male friends. It is also encouraged to join a male support group. Emotional Maturity includes both being able to open up to others, but also have the ability to set boundaries.
Sport is good because sports are competitive, and competition helps push yourself. It is also an era where you need to make yourself better. It involves self-discipline and practices strenuously. You are channelling your aggression within acceptable frames. The desire to win is there, and the game rules are equal for everybody participating. Examples of sports include soccer, swimming, fighting, basketball and tennis.
Being practical is the ability to work with your hands. For example, you are building a birdhouse or painting a fence. It can also include setting up electronic devices or fixing your car. You can buy a construction kit set to practice becoming more practical. Buy more advanced levels incrementally after mastering the more accessible part first. Being practical also involves packing a bag and pinching up a tent when camping.
Remember that the caveman was hunting and gathering food from the forest. So outdoor activities such as camping, walking the mountains, or kayaking are refreshing. We have an instinct to survive in the wild. To orient yourself in nature and set up a bonfire. In the wild, traits such as being practical, logical and responsible are apparent.
Being a dad:
There is a saying that you don’t become an adult before you get a child. Every resource and skill is there to raise and foster your child. Being a dad includes enormous responsibility, and all the traits you have combined will help the child develop and grow. If you get a boy, he will copy you to acquire the necessary masculine traits.
